Nancy Prager is an accomplished attorney and entrepreneur. Over the course of her legal career she has advised clients in industries ranging from web hosting and web development to authors and filmmakers on entity formation to exit strategy, and everything in between. Additionally, she has advised clients on the emerging, and evolving, legal issues related to the use of content online, the collection of data and other matters.
Nancy developed her interest in intellectual property through volunteer work she performed as a college student with an organization that preserves the musical heritage of the Mississippi Delta. She has worked with clients to develop brand strategies and licensing programs, as well enforcement programs, for intellectual property in consumer products, software and creative works, among others. She prosecutes trademark, registers copyrights and manages international intellectual property matters for clients.
Additionally, Nancy provides strategic legal counsel to clients on business matters ranging from entity formation to joint ventures to acquisitions. Nancy has hands on experience as a social entrepreneur. Her experience launching companies and nonprofit enterprises provides her a unique perspective on the challenges her clients face. She uses the skills she developed as an entrepreneur to provide value added services to her clients.
Nancy has spoken about intellectual property issues in front of audiences ranging from international conferences including SXSW and the Licensing Show, and at law schools and universities across the country. She has written for, and been quoted in, national publications, including cNet and the Washington Post, on intellectual property issues as well.
When Nancy is not practicing law you can find her on the water stand-up paddle boarding, volunteering with organizations across the community or enjoying time with family and friends.
